Gold should enrich the communities it comes from. We invest 3% of annual revenue in education, healthcare, clean water, and economic development in every region we operate — no exceptions.
Gold That Gives Back
Our community investment fund was established in 2021 with a simple mandate: 3% of annual revenue, invested directly in the communities where we operate, with no administrative overhead deducted. Every dollar goes to projects.
Projects are identified through community consultation — we ask communities what they need, not what we think they need. Independent project managers oversee delivery, and outcomes are reported publicly in our annual sustainability report.

Education
We have funded 12 school buildings across Ghana, Tanzania, Kenya, DRC, Mali, and Zambia — providing quality education to over 8,000 children in mining communities. We also fund teacher training and scholarship programmes for secondary and university students.
Healthcare
Eight rural health clinics built and equipped by Africa Gold serve over 15,000 people in remote mining communities. We fund clinic staffing, essential medicines, and maternal health programmes in partnership with local health authorities.
Clean Water
28 clean-water installations — boreholes, filtration systems, and distribution networks — now provide safe drinking water to over 40,000 people who previously relied on contaminated sources. Water quality is monitored quarterly.
Economic Development
Our local procurement policy requires that at least 60% of goods and services are sourced from local businesses. We also run a micro-enterprise fund that has supported 340 small businesses in mining communities since 2020.
Women's Empowerment
Our Women in Mining programme provides training, equipment, and market access to female artisanal miners — who represent 30% of our miner partner network. We also fund women's cooperative development and financial literacy programmes.
Youth Skills
The Africa Gold Apprenticeship Programme provides vocational training in mining, engineering, and environmental management to 200 young people per year — creating a pipeline of skilled local workers and reducing youth unemployment in mining regions.

During COVID-19
When the COVID-19 pandemic brought unprecedented challenges to communities across Africa, GoldBar Africa LTD stepped forward to support the people and communities connected to our operations. During this difficult period, we contributed essential food supplies, hygiene kits, protective equipment, and other critical resources to families and frontline workers. Our efforts focused particularly on vulnerable communities, helping them navigate the uncertainty and hardship caused by the pandemic.
For us, responsible mining means more than extracting resources — it means standing with our communities when they need us most. Through our COVID-19 relief initiatives, we worked alongside local leaders and community organizations to deliver meaningful support where it mattered. This commitment strengthened our relationships with communities and reinforced our belief that sustainable growth must go hand in hand with care, responsibility, and shared prosperity.
